Christmas in Kilts by Caledon
Alan Beck, Jamie MacDougall, and Ivan Sharpe with Musical Director Michael Barnett.
7th December 2009 Join us for ‘Christmas in Kilts’ by
Caledon, those powerful Scottish Tenors.
To include Christmas Favourites and Festive
Hits. A show to stir the Highland Spirit lurking deep within you all! Three Divine Voices - One
Awesome Sound.
Caledon is equally at home whether inspiring the 55,000 soccer crowd at Hampden Park with a stirring new version of
Flower of Scotland, or on the stage of the world-famous Sydney Opera House, singing to a packed auditorium of music
lovers. The group had a sensational first year which included highlights such as performing in front of Her Majesty
The Queen at the opening of the Scottish Parliament and for His Excellency, UN Secretary General Kofi Annan at the
inaugural Robert Burns Memorial Lecture at the United Nations Headquarters in New York as well as closing
Scotland's largest rock and pop festival, T - in the Park

Having recently completed sell-out tours of North America, Australia and New Zealand, Scotland 's “three divine
voices” (Edinburgh Evening News) returned to Scotland to perform a famous concert at the Edinburgh Festival.
Accompanied by the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra, "On A Beautiful Scottish Evening" was filmed beneath the magnificent
backdrop of a floodlit Edinburgh Castle. The recording, containing Caledon's wonderful arrangements of great
Scottish classics like Loch Lomond; My Love Is Like A Red, Red Rose; Will Ye Go Lassie, Go; Highland Cathedral and
Auld Lang Syne, was released by REL Records on DVD, Video and CD.
The tenors kicked off the Scottish leg of their 2005 tour at a packed Theatre Royal, Glasgow accompanied by the
Scottish Fiddle Orchestra, and 2005 also saw them return to tour in the U.S., record a St. Patrick's Day special
for Ulster Television in Ireland, and front an international showcase in New York for the Scottish Government
during the Tartan Day celebrations.
2006 saw the group return to the US to publicise the P.B.S. broadcasting of "On A Beautiful Scottish Evening"
(which was shown on over 150 channels in North America), accept invitations to make its debut in Japan and Malaysia
and take up a two month residency in Berlin at the Tipi-das-Zelt theatre.
"The Power And The Passion": Caledon 's exciting album of powerfully emotive Scots Songs, recorded with a full
symphony orchestra and containing such classics as Will Ye No' Come Back Again; Speed Bonnie Boat and Sailing, was
released in October 2005. The group's followed this with: Live 'n' Kickin', a live recording of their Berlin show,
which was released at the end of 2006. 2007 saw Caledon officially open the first ever Tartan Day in Toronto.
Despite 2 return visits to Berlin, more Scottish, US and Canadian Tours and even the occasional sojourn to sing in
the Dominican Republic, Caledon still managed to record a new album - "Always To Be Here" - land a kilt sponsorship
deal with Lochcarron of Scotland, (who have designed the new Caledon Tartan exclusively for the group) and sign
with agent David Foster (All-Electric Productions) to take the Live n' Kickin' show on tour in the rest of the UK -
an invasion of England is imminent !
