Hatstand Opera Review

Hatstand OperaWhat a finish to the first half of the season prior to the Christmas break for the Arts & Literary Society members. Hatstand Opera presented a feast for all with their witty and festive performance last Monday evening. Founded by mezzosoprano Kirsty Young along with Toni Nunn soprano, Richard Owen tenor and Tim Smith pianist, the audience were presented with a mixture of classical music from Verdi, Puccini and the familiar such as Handel’s Messiah. The second half consisted of a rousing finale of songs and carols with an invitation to all the audience to sing along (which they did with great gusto) allowing us all to go home full of Christmas cheer.
