Jazz singer and pianist Jeremy Sassoon with his distinctive and evocative style produced an exciting show for the members of the Arts and Literature Society on Monday evening. Accompanied by his band ‘Jazz Prescription’ consisting of, in the first half, Al Cherry (Guitarist) and Dan Drury (Bass), Jeremy performed many well known songs such as ‘Hallelujah I Love Her So’ by Ray Charles and ‘Nature Boy’ by Nate King Cole and all the members joined in with ‘I Got My Mojo Working’ with great enthusiasm. During the second half they were joined on stage by the other two members of the band, Derek Nash (saxophone) and John Blees (Drums) having been severely delayed due to Storm Imogen closing the Dartford Bridge. Their arrival showed true professionalism for their craft and the members were also delighted to experience the band with its full compliment.
