Sponsorship

Clacton and North East Essex Arts and Literary Society

AGM Report by Hon. Vice President Mrs Patrice Waller March 18th

Traditionally the Society has sought to have each Monday evening sponsored, other than the first, which is dedicated to the memory of our major benefactor, Sqn. Leader Hartley.

This gives local businesses the opportunity to support us in our aim to provide the best possible varied entertainment for us all to enjoy and, should they wish, advertise themselves to members by way of a display and the distribution of leaflets in the outer foyer on their sponsorship evening.  Their contribution and support appears in our programme and is also acknowledged in the local press when our pre-season advertisement is published. We also have a number of private sponsors from amongst our loyal membership.  The current charge to sponsor an evening is £300 and the total sum raised from sponsors is a significant part of our overall income. It must be said that we are most grateful to all who help us in this way.

Now that you are all aware of some of next season’s programme I will be seeking sponsors for each of these evenings.  I am hopeful that many of those who kindly supported us last season will be willing to do so once again but, as we are only too aware, the commercial world is going through tough times and so we may lose some.  We were fortunate enough to find two new sponsors during our coming year but we would welcome any suggestions you may have as to possible new sponsors should we need them. If you have any suggestions and wish to contact me my telephone number can be found on the back of your membership card.

Hon. Vice President Mrs Patrice Waller

Having regard to our charitable status, it is our policy to keep the price of the season ticket as low as possible. Our success in doing so rest, in no little way, on getting local businesses, societies and indivduals to support, by way of sponsorship, each of our prsentations. The Society acknowledges with gratitude the assistance and interest given each season by those listed in the programme.
